You could begin with buying products that are recycled and move on to other greener products. You can find food items made from organic sources instead of using environmentally unfriendly chemicals. These organic food items are also healthier for you at the same time being good to the environment. You can go for utensils and reusable items. Even when it comes to fashion, there are green fashion lines which are made from recycled materials. Avoid buying products from un recyclable plastics that end up in large landfills. When it comes to transportation, go for cars that run on electricity or biodiesel. You will be surprised to know that for every product, there is a greener alternative in the market which is much better than the unfriendly products. Green consumers have to currently pay a little more than other customers, but they do not have the guilty feeling of making a considerable contribution to their carbon footprint. So then next time you go to buy something, just ask the seller if the product has come from a renewable source and if the product is recyclable.
